kiwi slices
six slices of kiwi caught mid-air on a hot yellow background, with three blueberries falling past them.
a whole weekend
a quiet corner of a cafe at dusk: two blond wooden chairs, a little round table, a wall of paperbacks, and a window with the blue evening street on the other side.
the long one, and deliberately so. 1,049 pieces of warm wood, worn leather and book spines, with the whole right-hand side given over to a bookshelf you can lose an entire weekend in.

the photo the cafe corner kit was made from.the page you work from: every region outlined and numbered. 1,049 pieces, 27 colours.a quiet cafe corner at dusk with blond wooden chairs, a wall of paperbacks and a blue evening window, painted from the hello paint colour by number kit.the numbers, so you know before you buy
long rather than fiddly: nothing in it is smaller than a size-0 brush tip. the palette is almost all warm browns and golds against one cool blue window, so if your brown is a shade off mine, nobody will ever know.
taken from this kit's own procreate palette. every one comes with its hex and RGB, and the swatch card names the closest colour in four standard sets:
| ohuhu honolulu | 25 of 27 colours have a close match |
|---|---|
| copic | 23 of 27 colours have a close match |
| prismacolor premier | 24 of 27 colours have a close match |
| faber-castell polychromos | 21 of 27 colours have a close match |
where nothing comes close, the card says so rather than pointing you at something wrong.
on paper
four darknesses, each one plain or numbered, with or without the colour bar along the top. print the faintest plain one and no lines or numbers show in your finished piece. the last two sit over a 1-inch grid so you can copy the design onto canvas by hand.
every colour as a true 1-inch square with its hex and RGB, so you can swatch your own markers straight onto it. then a page naming the closest ohuhu, copic, prismacolor and polychromos for every single colour.
one page per colour, that colour alone on the page. wondering where every #12 hides? turn to page 12.
the same one page per colour, but each page shows the whole picture as it grows, with only the colour that page adds numbered on it. no hunting for which shape is new.
in full colour, plus a second copy with the numbers printed on the colours, so you can check yourself halfway through.
on your iPad
listed as bookshop nook. colour drop through the numbers, then switch the numbers and the outlines off.
every outline on a see-through layer, drawn with hard edges so a colour drop fills the shape and stops dead at the line.
the numbers on their own see-through layer. switch it off when a region is done.
a real procreate palette. import it once and every colour is sitting in your colour picker, in kit order.
what it looks like painted, to work from. it also sits at the bottom of your layers, and that is the bit that lets the outlines go as well as the numbers.
a one page setup guide with a picture of the layer stack, written for someone who has never opened procreate. every tap spelled out.
the tracing and the numbering are computer-assisted, by a program I wrote and keep fixing. then I check and finish every kit by hand. it is not a stock file and it is not a machine left alone with your photo.
premade kits download the moment you buy. custom kits land in your inbox within 1 to 2 days of you approving the proof.
a different evening
six slices of kiwi caught mid-air on a hot yellow background, with three blueberries falling past them.
citrus cut in half and laid out from above: oranges, pink grapefruit, lemons and limes on a clean white table.
a painterly wash of sunset colour: gold and butter yellow burning through coral and hot pink into deep violet. no subject, no edges, just colour doing what it wants.
